3 Things to See, Do, and Experience in Mexico

For Australians, there are countless places to visit and experiences to enjoy. That is why holidays at home are so popular. Australians enjoy having a good time and that is why the attractions and adventures shown at school holiday activities brisbane are so interesting to travellers. For those wanting to go overseas, Mexico is worth considering.

It’s no lie that Mexico is one of the premiere vacation destinations for college students, families, and couples alike. With so many things to do, it might be hard to plan the perfect itinerary. Luckily, we’ve planned three things that you can see, do, and experience while in Mexico.

Whether you’re into hiking, big-time sports events, or a laid back, standard vacation, we have something for every type of vacationer. Let’s get started!

Go Hiking in the Sierra Norte Mountains

When you think of Mexico, you might think of rural architecture and clear, pristine beaches (we’ll get to this later). However, believe it or not, Mexico is also home to the breathtaking Sierra Norte mountains. The mountains themselves boast an amazing view from the top.

Furthermore, the Sierra Norte mountains replace the palm trees for pines. You’ll find that the crisp mountain air is a fresh substitute for the cocktails, sun, and beaches that Mexico is known for.

Even more so, if you are interested in taking on the full adventure, high up in the Sierra Norte mountains are 8 autonomous villages. None of them are controlled by the Mexican government so each hosts their own laws, culture, and way of life.

It’s a great trek to do that’ll help you see a different side of Mexico and will also want you coming back for more in the future.

See Lucha Libre

If you’ve ever watched WWE, you’re going to want to watch Lucha Libre since this is basically the Mexican version of World Wrestling Entertainment. It’s hard to define this under the moniker “wrestling”.

However, seeing these sketched-out, choreographed fights is an experience that every visitor needs to have. However, most tourists don’t know about the Lucha Libre fights since it isn’t as advertised as the beaches of Mexico.

Next time you’re in Mexico, grab a few beers, head down to the stadium, and enjoy what’s sure to be a life changing experience, especially for those who are already fond of wrestling.

Experience the Countless Beaches Mexico Has to Offer

Yes, it’s cliche but it’s also what Mexico is known for. You can’t visit Mexico without visiting one of its beaches. With tourists flocking to destinations such as Cancun, Cozumel, and Cabo San Lucas, it’s hard to turn down the opportunity to sip margaritas on warm sand with clear, blue water surrounding you.

Some unique beaches we recommend you visit are Bahia Balandra, Zipolite, Playa del Amor. For Playa del Amor, also known as Lover’s Beach, you can access the sand strip via waterboat from Cabo San Lucas.

So, yes, while visiting a beach might be a standard thing to do for the average visitor, there’s a reason it’s so popular. Mexico hosts some of the best seaside views, drinks, and experiences that can be offered around the world. And for that, we truly believe that you need to visit at least one beach in Mexico if you plan on traveling there.
